M77 (Tang Safety) IRON SIGHTS in the way????

Are the factory iron sights on the early tang safety Rugers In-The-Way to run a medium height scope????

I like the irons for backup

But got to thinking, A Varmint Scope, with a large bell; probably not going to work out???

But Idk never shouldered an iron sight Ruger of the sort, or handled one for that matter

Also wondering how MK I front sight is attached?

I see MK II front sight shroud advertised it slips over then is fastened somehow, wondering if they are similar or same mounting?? Screw?
