Luopold VX-6 disapointment!!!

why get bothered by where they made. I can guarantee you one thing more leupolds are made in the usa and more of leupolds profits go into our economy then any other brand. Find me one american based scope company that sells good scopes an average guy can afford that doesnt farm out at least something overseas or for that matter find me a truck the same. The leupld bashers will use this for any excuse and recomend a nikon or ziess whos parent companys arent even located in this country and a good part of those profits go overseas.

I have purchased Leupold VX-6 3x18-50 and mounted on My B-New Sako A7 .300 WSM for long range app...

Heads up

1- CDS didn't work (3 box of Federal Trophy copper 165gr)
2- after 50 round I noticed a piece of dirt at reticle is moving around after each shot!!! It p.. me off, I called Leupold they said send it back to fix it, I said No I spent $1300 plus 6 box of ammo plus mount and shipping to get a faulty Scope!!!No way to keep this Junk... I have one VX2 and VX3 no problem at all... tried to get VX6 4-24x50 it pricy plus Leupold don't make rings for 34mm tube except Mark4 which is $150!!(It seems they moved to China quality wise!!!!)
Story short now checking on Zeiss conquest HD5 5-25x50.

Thanks for any advise

If you do go with the Zeiss, you will thoroughly enjoy it.

Care to document that with factual data? Made or assembled?

Frankly, I don't give a hoot what anyone buys. It's their/your money. You'll find Leupold and Nikkon and Vortex and Bushnell Trigicon (btw a Michigan company and large government supplier) and a bunch more on my firearms. My point in all this is the 'attitude' of Leupold concerning orign.

Profits that a company makes don't concern me. The question is, does it offer good value at the price you pay.

I have had nothing but exceptional service from Leupold. Maybe it is bc I live 10 minutes from their HQ, but I can go in and look thru any scopes I want to, take them back if there is a problem, and they have always stood bend their product with me.

I am planning on getting a VX-6 3x18x42 (or 44, I can't remember) when I get my custom rifle. It has everything I want for around $1200. And I know they will stand behind it.

Even when I call them they always stand behind their product - this is before I tell them I will just bring it in and/or talk to someone in person.

I am not as demanding as most on here as I can't reach out 800 yds, but for me their scopes fit the bill, and I can afford S&B or other similar scopes. I just can't find a reason to spend the extra $$.

To each his own.
