Hornady has N560, I have N565, a slower powder. So I'm just looking
I have a 300 Weatherby
I have shot CX

I have not put the 2 together.

CX start pressure is seems much higher than Barnes. I did some back to back comparisons in my 300 WSM but again, not in the 300 Wby. There seems to be some changes since I last used them, grooves that probably reduce start pressure.

That said as a caveat and having run your 2 powder choices through QuickLOAD and looking in all the online and electronic reloading manuals because my paper manuals are still boxed.

IMO LRT is just too slow.
N565 can do it but it seems slow. Usable but slow. Of course there are legal weirdness's about telling you a load. Sorry. I'll listen to advise and opinions on that as my fear comes from being in Kommiefornia where you can be sued for sneezing and put in jail for mis-gendering. ;)

If I could get to my stuff I'd throw some loads in 300 Wby and see if QuickLOAD is real or full of BS on the N565 idea.

Limited but maybe helpful.

It's okay, I was just curious. I have H4831sc on hand so I will just see what I can do. Thank you all for helping me. Seems a rebarrel is in order maybe 28-30 inches lol and throated for a long overall length

H4831 SC will work great. I use it often.

I can find a load for 210 Noslers with it. With the higher start pressure of the CX that seems appropriate compared for the 190.
QL likes it.
I have not made a 28+ barrel 300 Wby.

Do you like the 210 Noslers? Have you had experience with them on elk size game lets say 500 yards and In? I like them alot but have read some issues about expansion. If you dont mind, could you give me a starting load charge. Not your load. I always to do a max charge, max pressure test when I start load development. Do you believe pushing the 210 ablr at or close to max pressure with N565 I can get 100% burn?

If you are fishing for a bullet to use on an elk at 500 yards, you will get various recommendations based on personal experience and preferences.

I was a long-time Nosler (NP, NAB, NBT) before transitioning to Berger as my go-to bullet.
