Looking for a scope for my muzzle loader?

I'm looking at two different scopes for my muzzle loader a swarovski PH 2.5-10x56 or the zeiss MC conquest 3-12x56 Which one would be the best for early morning and evening?I will be shooting as far as 300yards or as close as 100 yards.The swarovski has a 30mm scope tube and the zeiss has a 1-inch scope tube.Which one will gather light better to?
