Nov 28 2017 using 6mm 06 loaded with 87 vld hunting bergers , 54.6 gr of 7977 powder . Nailed 2 coyotees with one shot at appox 300 yards . Both of them DRT

Hey what's your 6-06 that's what I shot my longest coyote with mines a old style ruger 77 tang safety with a 28 inch shilen select match grade barrel 9 twist sports a 3 oz trigger I shoot 87g vmax with 55g h1000 cci 250m primer dropped my yote at 510

Didn't measure my longest coyote shot exactly. Approximately 2/3 across a mile section. 22-250 50 grain Vmax. Tumbled him but he got up and ran another quarter mile before done. More impressive in my eyes was watching my bro down a running coyote at over 400 yards out a truck window with a open site 30-30 levergun. He was really surprised...

432 yrds with my 6mm-06 85gr speer SBT leaving muzzle @ 3600 FPS. Long shots in calling situation here in Ky are not common! I do most my business in the semi open areas with maybe 150-200 yrd range.. But this coyote hung out across the valley barking & refused to come any closer. He wasn't a hard target for the for the big 6 though..

Kimberyote Thanks I do not take for granted where I live. I am very blessed to get to live and work here. I have steel targets set up out to 718 yds. Attached is a pic of the rifle. It is a Winchester extra long Mag action that began life as a 7 STW and would never shoot well. It now has a Rock Creek #5 fluted barrel at 27" and a Lil Beast brake. Stock is a McMillan Game Scout in Urban Spectra. Topped with a Burris XTR II 5X25 SCR MOA scope mounted on a Precision Hardcore Gear rail and Nightforce rings.
The action and barrel is sniper gray cerakote.
