Longer magizine for T3 in 308?

The gun is a factory T3. I'd like to load out to the lands, but then ofcourse the rounds won't fit into the clip. Can the filler block in the back of the 308 clip be removed, and/or would a clip from a T3 long action caliber work?

easiest way is to buy a longer mag, like for 270, 30/06 etc, you will need to shorten the bolt stop as well.
Cheapest way is to do what the guy in post #12 of the thread does.

I would just buy a new magazine and try to sell yours to recoup part of the cost. the mags are $40 bucks you should be able to sell yours for 25-30 bucks no problem

Thanks for the info. It doesn't look like I have to much room to shorten the bolt stop. The last thing I want is for the bolt to come completely out when I'm all wound up over the antlers in front of me. I'll see if I can find an extra, before I start filling.
