Lodgepole Creek Outfitters?

Planning on booking a Wt hunt with them in 2025. South Dakota is a place iv always wanted to hunt. Anyone got information or heard of them? Iv talked with the outfitter and sounds like a top notch outfit. Just figured it wouldn't hurt to ask here?

I would not go.
Find another outfitter.
I hunted with Braydon in November 2023, about nine months ago. The hunt was OK, nothing special. What was particularly troubling was the post hunt follow up. I gave him instructions as to where to send the antlers and Cape and where to send the meat. Two or three months later, I contacted my taxidermist and the deer was not there. I contacted Braydon and I got the runaround. He never sent the venison to me and when questioned, he asked whether or not I took with me the backstrap and tenderloin, as there was just a small amount of meat left in his freezer. A friend of mine finally had to go and pick up the Cape and deliver it to another taxidermist. It was pretty poor service. I've been on many hunts with many guides and I've never been treated like this after the hunt. I never received the venison. He's off my list of responsible guides.

Thank you for the heads up. We were looking at going 2025. Not sure but thinking he's partnered with another guy that's suppose to improve his hunting outfit.

Did you take a mule deer or a whitetail? How big? Sounds like they didn't fulfill there obligations.

Nice deer. I'd shoot him lol. Looks wide. Hate you had those issues at the end. Did the guides work hard for you? Easy to tell if they are really trying or just trying to get by. Shoot me pic of your mount when you get it back. Thanks again for the heads up.

I think they were fine during the hunt. The post hunt negligence left a bad taste in my mouth as every other hunt the outfitter and guide handled the meat and the cape as requested.
