Finally got to shoot some hand loads in my new sendero. I had bought a box of the hsm loads and my rifle really likes those shot a three shot group of .807in at two hundred yards not bad for factory. I pulled one a part to try and see if I could tell what powder it was (looks like a blend of two powders). I did figure out they are using 49.5 grains of mystery powder. My best group was with imr 4831 by the time I got to shooting the imr the snow was coming down pretty good and was getting cold. I'm excited to see what i can get this load to do. Right now it's close to the max load but with no signs of pressure I'm tempted to keep bumping it up. I'm seated about .010 off the lands.

What bullets are you using? I load 100 sciroccos and 115 bergers for my wifes .25-06. R17 is giving scary fast velocities with the 100 grainers and I load the 115's to 3100 and good accuracy. I have some imr7977 to try with the 115's to hopefully go faster while maintaining the same accuracy. Rifle is a Savage 112 with 26" fluted varmint bbl.

My 25-06AI really likes H1000 with 115 Bergers. Almost 257 Weathery speeds and accurate. 115 Berger at 3350 fps.

I'm loading the 115 Bergers so far imr 4831 gave me the best starting point with 49.5grs .010th of the lands I havnt crongraphed it yet so I'm not sure on velocity.

I have two 25/06's and both like IMR4831. I tried RL17,RL19, RL22, and IMR4350. RL22 shot well, but not as well. If you tinker with it I am sure you will find a winner and I'm guessing it will be IMR4831.
Just an afterthought; I found my accuracy node at .5gr below max.
GOOD LUCK and GOOD SHOOTING!!!

Hmm I've got a 5lbs jug of reloader 25 might have to try that one. I've also got several cans of 22 but it didn't group as well as some of the others. I picked up some 7828ssc and some vitavohri n165 to try as well

With my 25-06 (Ruger #1V) I get best accuracy/velocity with:

H4831 - bullets 90 grains and lighter

Retumbo - bullets 100 grains and heavier

My gun loves the Nosler 115 grain Ballistic Tip bullets. Deer hate them.
