Was finally able to get my hands on some 8lbs N565 and 8lbs H1000, 1lb RL33.

Anyhow wanting to work up some loads for my custom Zarmatt TL3 24" Proof

My max COAL is limited to my magazine at 2.98". As I want it to be able to feed from my Hawkins Hunter Magazine in my Short Action TL3. ADG Brass

Using the N565 have seen a variety of loads from 56gr to 58gr but without any information on COAL.

I was interested on what results others are getting with this powder, and alternatively any information using n565 and 140gr Noslers or 143gr VLDX? I want to have a lighter 140-143gr load for lighter game and ease of finding components, target etc. And the 156gr for larger game like Muley. Anything larger would probably use my 28nosler for with 190gr bergers. Preferably want to stick with a common powder as I have had luck with finding the N565, as it's not temperature sensitive, and very clean burning. I appreciate the insight and look forward to see what others are getting out of this load.

Just call Berger and they'll provide! 565 using QL case at 2.015", coal at 2.980" and max charge of 58.8gr, 24" barrel with 2,919fps. Using 33 at max pressure has case fill of 108.4% and velocity of 3,000. All is subject to case volume and primers used!

I have exactly the same components list as you. From my sako 24" I get 2850 with 57.3gr which groups best, and then another node on 58gr @ 2890. These are both on cbto of 2.365. I suggest you load mag lengh and work back with seating depth until you find your group.

565 is a good powder for the heavies for sure. Btw I run everything at 2.950 coal and all shoot very well. I've not felt the need to mess with seating depth in the 2 i have and just run it. I also like the 135 a tip so far and in a 24" it should be around 3150 with h1000 and 3100 with 565.

Contact Berger's tech support for their latest load recommendation. Below is what they provided me for my .264 WM.

Good luck!

I think you will be happy with the N565, I know I have been. I have several friends that use it as well. I have used it for the Berger 140s, 144s and 156s. Also for the Hornady 143s and 147s. I only have load data for the 156s in my new barrel now but will share the details below.

Christensen Arms SA receiver
McMillan Game Hunter stock
Hawkins BDL with CA box and follower
Carbon Six 7.5tw finished at 24"
Area 419 Hellfire Match or YHM R9
TT Diamond set at 14oz

Gunwerks brass (ADG)
Federal 210m primers
VV N565 - 55.1 grains
Berger 156 EOL
COAL 2.990
CBTO 2.290

I'm getting 2880fps which isn't super fast but I can put 5 shots in 1/2 MOA every time. This will still have 1800fps velocity and 1100lb/ft of energy at 900 yards. I'm also at 1300' elevation. More than enough for any deer sized game and I would be comfortable shooting an elk up to 500 yards away with it if needed. I also have a 28N and that is what I use for elk for the extra oomph.
I was able to reach 3000fps but the accuracy just wasn't there. I also tried 215M primers but they pressured out early. The 210Ms have been working great. As always, these numbers are for my rifle. You can use them as a guide but work up a load for your rifle. Good luck and let us know your results.

Here's another thread you can read through. Your favorite 6.5 PRC accuracy loads needed

I never got the 156 to shoot satisfactorily in two PRCs. 565 was the best, though. I load to mag depth so COAL is of little use to me. My load was 56-56.5 right around 2900.

I used N565 with the 143 Bondstrike and it was very accurate. 54.4 gave me 2920. 56.6 gave me 3083 but I liked the accuracy of the 2920 load better. Took 7 African animals with it this summer.

I tested N565 with the ELD-X and played around the 54.5 mark for 2925. I ended up going with N560 although the 565 looked just fine as well.
