Load data for 300 wsm and RL 26?

I've got a large container of RL 26 and several calibers I load for. Does anyone have experience loading the 300 wsm, shooting 208 gr or 210 gr bullets? I'm thinking a good starting load would be 65 gr...

I shoot 69grs of R-26 with 215's at 2950fps but my OAL is close to 3.2" in a long action. I would say 65grs would a little high for a starting point in a short action. I'd probably start at 63 or 64 if my OAL was under 3". The length difference alone will amount to at least 2-3 grains of capacity difference.

Mine is long action too.

Thanks for the info.

65gr starting load may be too hot with a 208 or 210. When I emailed Phil at Berger, the data he gave me showed a max load of 66.7 with a 215 Hybrid which has a shorter bearing surface than the 208 and 210. Email Phil and he'll give you some great data.

And FWIW I'm shooting a factory savage 300WSM and my velocities were almost spot on to what Phil gave me via emailed data.

Have fun, I really like R26, but start a bit lower than 65gr. Good luck.

I'll send him an email sometime this weekend. I greatly appreciate all the replies and input.
