I just got this back from Leupold where they replaced the erector system. The scope has a couple tiny dings that you can see in the pictures. No ring marks and the glass is perfect. The CDS dial has not been redeemed.

What was the problem that caused you to send it back to Leupold ?

I was stalking a mule deer and knocked my rifle over. I killed the deer at 262 yards but hit higher than intended. When I got back home I checked my zero and it was a few inches high. I rezeroed my rifle and didn't think much of it.

After this my rifle didn't group as well as it did before the hunt. I continued using it for 3 years and killed a handful of animals with the same setup. Earlier this year I mounted a different scope on the rifle and it went back to shooting tiny groups. I tested both scopes on a different rifle and got the same results.

I probably could have used it as it was for years not knowing there was anything wrong with it if I hadn't wanted something with more magnification.
