Leupold vx-r with CDS question

Anyone used them? I've read a lot of reviews but haven't been able to find many on the CDS. Are they as good as Kenton? It's going on a 7mm-08 for shooting to 4-500 yards on deer and maybe a yote but Id like to shoot steel an paper at longer range.

Think probably a video on u tube.If you pick a 200 zero most flat type shooting rifle will get you to 700+ on first turn.They have a little ball detent in them,I pulled mine and ran it to 2 turns about.Dial is small and harder to see in low light,but nice for packing
