Leupold Vari-X III 6.5x20x40mm Total MOA...

Hello,

I was just wondering how many moa does this scope has.
I am planning on getting Chris to rebarrel my 25-06 to a 308 and hope to do some 1000 yards shooting next year.
Will I have enough moa?

Was just looking through the catalog at the 6.5x20x40 long range with the 30 mm tube. 2005 catalog lists 90 moa but their web site lists 72 moa. My guess is either would get you to 1000 especially with 20moa base. The 1 inch scopes would have less.

it's interesting you posted this because i was just out in the shed and couldn't find my 6-20, 1" tube, to check on the very same thing.just take your scope and crank it the whole way and see how many moa it has.i want to know so i can get the right amount of slope on the bases and when sighted in at 100, i'll be near,maybe 90%, the end of travel.
