Leupold MK4 6-20x50, TMR, ER/T, M5

I am helping a buddy try to sell his Leupold MK4 6.5-20x50 ER/T, TMR reticle, M5 dials. It is a first focal plane, with MIL turrets. Scope is in great condition, glass is good, and turrets are repeatable. He is asking $1200.

As long as the serial numbers check out with Leupold I would be willing to go $800.00 on that particular model.

Ya...no thanks. He would rather keep it, then give it away for less than half of retail. And why wouldnt the serial numbers check out? The box is right there in the ad with the serial #...

Unfortunately past experiences have taught me to check the serial #'s on the product and not just what's on the box. I would be willing to go $1,000 max if he is interested.
