Do you think the scope will take a 308 to 500yds?

From my understanding, the M8 12X Luepolds scopes have 55MOA on both windage and elevation.

.308 pistol, I am guessing you are in the neighborhood of 2,300 fps to 2,400 fps.

for 2,300 fps, Berger 155 gr. Match VLD, G1 B.C. = .439

a 500 yard zero yields 17.4MOA at 100 yards.

You should be fine...'course I was guessing on your velocity!!
