Hi everyone, Im using a VX111 6.5-20x50 LRT and the problem is that when I adjust the power up to 18-20x the scope seems to lose image resolution, I can clear it up quite nicely by adjusting the parallax, is this normal and does it mean that the parallax is correct for that range when the image is at its clearest.

Many Thanks

someone correct me if im am wrong but I think you got it....this is how I do it any how, (same scope) my vx11 on my 7mag has an adjustable objective withe yardage on it so it is easier to set ... but what ever

Just b/c the image is clear doesn't mean the parallax is adj properly. You'll need to hold the gun perfectly still and move your head side to side or up and down. If the parallax is correct, the crosshair will not appear to move on the target if the crosshair appears to move, continuing tinkering w/your parallax until it doesn't.

As far as the resolution issue goes it's hard to say w/out looking @ it. If I had any doubt I'd package it up and send it to Leupold. They'll check it out and fix anything that is wrong. Generally in about 2 weeks.

Up at the top of the page is a sticky called "Parallax vs Focus". I recommend that you read through that and then go back through the process of adjusting the focus and then try adjusting the parallax. Sometimes it can be a little tricky to get the focus correct and if you miss a little on the focus ring it is a constant pain in the butt.
