Has anyone ever sent in Leica binoculars for a deep clean and checkup? I bought 10×42 Ultravids in Oct. of 2005 and they still look brand new but at 19 years I just want to have them checked out. Best money I've ever spent on a piece of gear.

Leica repair usually takes a couple of months. In your case, it's juat a checkup, So I wouldn't expect it to take forever..

my experience was awesome with them. I called, mailed my rangefinder and had it back inside of 2 weeks.

I have a pair of Duovids that have been sent back 2x for eyecups and cleaning. That usually takes about 6 weeks.
I also sent in a pair of Geovids that needed a part they could not get and offered me a loaner pair. Those took about 14 weeks but i got them back as I left for the first hunt of the year.
I am very please with service and communication from Leica.
