I was given about 900-1000 once fired cases several years back. After resizing , and a total match prep on the cases including turning the necks about 80% I ended up with about 300 cases that were weight matched.
The Lake City brass is pretty tough and very thick so you have to start later lower than with normal brass.
All in all , I see no reason not to buy Lapua brass for the 308 or any round based off of it , its less than .50 cents each and will outlast anyother brass out their and is probably the most consistant.
