Knuckle Joint Bullet Recovery

I had a good day at the range today with the 124 gr Hammers , I guess I'll be looking for that bubble with the 85 grainers next . I figure if I can hit 3400 plus with the 124s in the prc I can hit 4000 fps with the 85s 3700 plus no problem with the 109s we'll see I'll post pics later . 4 shot .375 groups today back too back . Got too love those Hammers . Mr Taylor thanks for your earlier post great info.
Let us know how it goes, going to be working with the 109's in a couple weeks but have been curious as to which powder would work with the 85gr in the PRC.

Gday
Here's some pics of the type of resistances some way little hammer bullets are getting through with ease ( note the point of impact ) yet kinda act like a nosler bt on little critters & taking out a lot of critters in between & this is not just a dead critter it's a impact to tip that's showing better results than I've ever witnessed before across multiple species

On these big guys when it goes pear shape nothing compares with the 500 as that's a problem solver but watch this space we are going light & fast with these big bores also to see if the impact to tip is the same as seen in the medium to small bores

Cheers

Yes Sir I will I need too order some more bullets ,I didn't even give the 85 grainers any thought until Steve's and Taylor's post . I like velocity ,most of my shots will be under 500 yds so BC isn't that big a deal . I will start with N560 and see ,if I run out of powder space and go from there . H4350 might even be the ticket we'll see. N560 is really proving itself in the 264 bore for me 6.5-284 6.5x55 and 6.5 prc short and long barrels.

The accuracy I'm getting with N560 and the 124s and 109s are insane vel too I mean raged freaking holes at a 100 yds .

Gday
I've seen a pretty good @fordy video, of a running buffalo taken down with a single body shot. .375 270 grain Shock Hammer.

I can't recall if it was the same buffalo, but also a picture of an extreme entrance hole from blow back.
Not the same buff the one in the pics was taken by my son

The one I think you mean running was a very impressive result as wasn't a cns shot ( 2 inches off ) which makes it a little more special as you just don't stop these fellas with body shots as bangflops just don't happen well so I thought now it's still not a normal occurrence but it does happen now & then & got that bangflop upto 5 &1/2 inches away from the cns & we are talking dead not a animal that gets spine shock & regains it's feet )

The other interesting thing with these guys we've had buffalo back up a lot from the impact of the shot where normally it's impact full steam ahead & put more shots into them until they tip over & then we still put a insurance shot in the spine

Yes Carl that entrance & blow back is something to this day im yet to see with any other brand & it's also not with all hammers , yep it's all in that bubble

I wish I knew how to post videos as that running buff is so cool as it dumped him in a cloud of dust

Cheers

Yeah, that vid was pretty cool. 👍Send it to one of the guys that knows how to do it. I'd like to see it posted. If someone has interest in posting it, just PM me your email or iMessage info and I'll get it to you for Fordy.

Dangit, now I have to load some of the 131HH in my 7RM. They WERE for the 280AI. Another 100fps would be interesting.
So, I bet the "bubble" process is what's kicking those gel blocks high off the table? It seems to be a result of pure speed (a sonic boom) as in a pressure wave?
At least Bean proved to me that these bullets really offer even greater results the faster you run them.
