Just reloaded first round ever, Question

Ok i just reloaded my first round of my life. Any way im using a RCBS die. Anyways when i removed the round the bullet had horizontal circle marks on it where bullet came in contact with the die, also there are also symetrical vertical 1/16th" grooves on the bullet. Just for a visual, they kinda resemble rifle marks but just straight. Any thoughts?

Did you clean and relube the dies before you used them for the first time. I was getting the same results when I first started but once a friend told me to clean them stoped getting all the marked up bullets.

No i did not, ill clean them up and try that, thanks
