John Buhay Ogive Comparator. measures ogives variance in bullets to allow you to sort according to ogive length. tool heads for 6, 6.5, 30 and 338. this is the absolute best tool for checking ogive lengths and variances in a box/lot of bullets and allows you to sort them into groups of the same length ogive. I have seen as much as .018 variance out of a 100 bullet box. Hard to get the best LR accuracy with that variance.
Sort some by hand with a caliper and then run them through this and you will see that your thumb has a lot of variance. This tool takes the human factor out and gives a pure and repeatable measurement.
Below is a link to a copy of the Buhay tool that David Tubb used to market. http://www.accurateshooter.com/gear-reviews/bearing-surface-comparator/
If you want the tool head for 7mm, contact Mark King Rifles in PA and he can probably get John to get one made up.
Tool sold sold for $200 and each caliber set was around $50 each.
The pic attached, is similar tool will post pic of actual set later.
$225 shipped priority.
