Re: It\'s finally done...7/300WSM
Sorry I'm not receiving email notfication that there was a response to this post.
Well it's a Viper action with mag bolt face,
I also bought a spare bolt in .308 bolt face for it. It's a 7/300WSM 1/9 twist Shilen SM 27" Neck is .310
Jewell varmint trigger set at 8oz right now.
A Tooley MBR clone stock. Some guy in Montana
makes them and I can't remember his name right now.
Nightforce NXS 12x42 with NP-2R reticle in double screw SPF rings.
She came in at 15lbs 10oz. There are two tubes in the butt section for a weight kit which I haven't messed with yet. The idea was to make a gun I can shoot IBS & NBRSA 1000 yard matches plus whack some varmints.
The tubes are the full length of the butt section. I should be able to get the thing up to 18lbs or better for varmint shooting.
I plan on shooting the 162 grain AMAX and some custom 156 grain VLD bullets. The 156's
are supposed to have a BC near .680
