I just caught myself doing the very thing I was posting about. I needed bottled water, granola bars, canned diced green chilis and what nots, for work, deer lease and home. I almost placed 3 different orders from 3 different stores to save a couple of bucks, maybe $10 tops. Placed the pickup order with one place and was in and out of the pickup area in less than 3 minutes. It's not just gear, guns, ammo, bullets and such, I will catch myself doing it with fuel. I was raised by my grandparents after my mom passed. They got their social security checks on the 3rd or closest Monday, they would go to the bank and deposit them and then on the following Saturday, we'd head to the store. They penny pinched, bought everything they couldn't grow or raise in bulk, salt, pepper, flour, corn meal, etc. They only went to the store on that Saturday unless there was an emergency. No wasted effort, trips and such. I'd trade everything I have to go back and live that life all over, swamp cooler and all. We have it pretty good, they drop needless crap at your doorstep just about anytime we want, drive thru pick up, any station or song you want at the touch of your fingertip.
