I had an IOR 3-18x42mm on a Tikka T3 lite SS with Magnaport in 338 WM. Great scope glass wise and excellent reticule (MP-8). My problems were eye relief and positioning of the scope on the action. First the advertised eye relief at the time 3.75" was way off. I would estimate 2.8" to 3.0" maximum. Secondly, the turret housing was so bulky and so far back on the scope as to leave very little room for positioning the scope on the action.
From what I've seem of the IOR 2.5-10 the second issue is even worse than on the 3-18x42mm. I don't know about the eye relief issue, but I would certainly check it out if I were you, particularly if you intend to use it on a hard kicking light weight rifle.
