Can anyone tell me if AR style rifles are legal for hunting in Idaho and if so, are there capacity limits? Also, are Nightvision scopes legal for wolves? I've read it is for coyotes.

Use centerfire Ar all you want. Any magazine. Has to weigh less than 16lbs loaded with all accessories. NO NIGHT VISION. NO sights that project any light source such as lighted laser sights.

Pretty much everything that was said for coyotes to hunt using light at night you have to be on private ground as well. You can use illuminated reticles in scopes just not red dot and holographic optics

With any electronic device attached to, or incorporated
on, the firearm or scope; except scopes containing battery
powered or tritium lighted reticles are allowed.

That depends on what you're hunting. For big game and birds there are restrictions. For non-game animals there are none.gun)
