Idaho elk hunter new to the site

I found this site last night while trying to educate myself on longer ranged shots. I love elk hunting & would like to get comfortable shooting my 300 RUM out past 500 yards. I'm getting a lot of info from past posts & articles. Thanks in advance for any thoughts or advice.

Welcome to LRH . I shoot a .300 RUM too and I love it but when the barrel wears out I'm going to bump it up to the .338 Edge
