I think I just built my favorite hunting rifle

So I wanted to build a gun for hunting deer in my home state of Oregon it needed to be big enough for East side mule deer and something with some long range capabilities for those long timber edge clear cuts for black tail deer so I started with the bullet first and it's a 143 ELDX and the caliber is 6.5/06 with RL26 AND I think I've fallen in love with my finished product and it look like it's going to be a shooter now I need to shoot at some distance 5or 6 hundred yds

Remington 700 action (blue Printed) timny trigger and 26"Lilja barrel with RL26 and 143 ELDX at 3000 fps

Awesome looking rifle! Been a big fan of my 280 Rem for a long time and have been curious about how that 6.5-06 would perform. Keep us updated.

Used my 6.5x06 for 12 years now. Long and short distances. Table fare every year. Sub-moa consistent. H4831. 120 NBT's, 129 Hornady SST's, and 140 NPT's that still make moa, it doesn't seem to matter... The wife calls it "The other lady in my life." I have numerous other calibers, but this is always the go to... You will enjoy it.
