So I got bored at work Friday night and started searching Craigslist, which I never do. There was some reloading stuff that had been posted with an address. Googled the address and it was some resale shop that happens to be about 10 minutes from my house. Well, Saturday morning I went home from work and it kept eating at me. They had casting supplies and dies and molds and everything. Soooooo, out the house I left and met the owners when they were unlocking the door. They buy storage lockers and sell the contents. Unfortunately a guy drove in from 3 hours away and bought half the stuff including all the molds and casting equipment. I looked at what was left and offered the guy $100. He said he could only go as low as $150 plus tax. I hemmed and hawed and then saw a prize of a Lee powder scale on the table That was the end of the discussion. Sold!!!!!!
It is a lot of stuff I won't ever use. I'll end up just selling or trading it off. I was mainly interested in the RCBS 304 powder scale.
Among a lot of other things, I got:
RCBS 304 scale
Lee powder scale
Gunline camp perry 20 stock checkering set
10 leather stamping tools
MEC 16ga press 600
MEC super sizer 16ga
1500 16ga wads
bunch of Acro Bins
8 MTM H50 ammo boxes
Multiple other ammo boxes
4 Beretta 16ga chokes
bunch of cleaning supplies and patches
cheap Chinese digital micrometer
25# lead hard shot
and a bunch of brass
brass:
10mm pistol x650 New in boxes
264 Win Mag x75 once fired (OF)
357 Mag x17 OF
38 special x20 OF
30-30 x20 OF
30-06 x110 OF
35 Remington x20 OF
45 ACP x350 OF (some stamped FC 71 Match)
308 x250 OF (some stamped LC 88 match)
45 Colt x1150 half is new
45-70 x975 almost all new
Already have a trade pending with a guy locally. Trading the MEC 16ga 600 Jr press, MEC super sizer, 16ga wads, and lead shot for a Dillon 550b. Then he's buying the 10mm brass for $150. So, I'll get my money back, get a new press, and have the rest to sell/trade.
I may have to get a 45/70 and a 45 Colt so I can put all that brass to use. Hate to sell that much brass for calibers that I like to have.
So? How did I do?
