When I run a patch there is a place in the last 3/4 of the Barrel the patch has no resistance.
Is that bad enough to change the barrel?

Yes. It is a condition called ballooning. It can happen to light weight barrels and light weight
fluted barrels. It is caused by excessive pressure (Peak pressure is achieved between
1/2 and 3/4 of the barrel length).

It can fail at any time so I would not recomend using it any more. This is common on barrels
that have been fluted by someone other than the barrel maker because they may cut the fluting
to deep on light contours.

Ether way it is caused by pressure and can be dangerous !!!!!
