338 edge: semi custom, low round count (193), light enough for hunting (8lb scopeless, 10.1 as it sits), shoots good, just doesn't seem to get enough use.

I can measure if you'd like but I recall that even during lands tests with 285 eldM it was more than enough for the longest I'd load.

Pretty sure it handled 4 if not more. I never got around to testing the bergers, wanting that accubond for elk.

All you want for that much gun, even w one of the best brakes in the industry for recoil reduction. Could lighten the scope if you wanted.

I'm having trouble measuring it but I assume > 4.00" as this image is 3.908" OAL round and it seems to have a fair bit of room to spare:
I recently received a bit more history as it seems the original owner didn't like the recoil, instead of replacing with a more efficient brake he just parted the components. From there it seems it was cerekoted and reinstalled on the 700 action. Round count listed above is what I was told follows the barrel plus my own

I've since learned the barrel also liked the 300 smk not just the 250s. I don't think the 300s have been tested under the current setup but the rest of the loads described above have been, my hunting loads for sure.
