Hunting in New Zealand

My wife and I are going to NZ this coming February and I would like to do a little hunting while there. Does anyone have any suggestions? I'm talking DIY or hunt swap, we are spending most of our budget on the vacation alone... I could offer good locations for Elk, and deer here in the Northwestern US.

Hi Black, my wife and I went to north island NZ last January for our honeymoon. I was on a shearing gang down there and they offered to take us pig hunting and goat hunting but we just couldn't get it to work with our schedule. Are you going to be going to north or south island?
