HS precision stock problem

I know very little about stocks so any information will be greatly appreciated. I just received the stock that I ordered from h.s precision and installed my barreled action, when I noticed that the rear of the action, when touching the bedding block is sitting almost out of the stock. I can rock it down into place and it's fine when I tighten down the action screws together but it's seems like there's a bit of pressure when I'm doing so. Also the barrel sits proud to one side in the front. Will skim bedding take care of these issues or should I contact HS precision? I've never really used aftermarket stocks so I don't know. I have one bell and Carson tactical stock on my ctr and the actions doesn't rock like this one. Thanks in advance

Don't modify anything. Just call them for return instructions.
Do you have a different trigger on this stock? Curious, because some require additional inletting to fit the action.

Your recoil lug could be canted, which means that it's not allowing it to sit flush in the stock recess, and one corner is kicking it up and to the side (as evidenced by the barrel being so far over in the barrel channel.) It's pretty common with Remington lugs. If you have a local gunsmith, they should be able to unscrew the barrel just enough to loosen and straighten the lug, and then torque the barrel back in.

I have a timney hunter installed but it's doesn't seem to be contacting anything. I'll take a look again later. Thanks

Particularly the safety side of module in the stock and the trigger guard. Those usually need clearance cuts. The barrel misalignment though has the "wow" factor, a red flag. Just call the tech line and discuss.

Take the barreled action out of the stock and turn it up side down and see if the recoil lug looks like it is centered with the front action screw hole. Or take a photo of the bottom and post it so we can look at it. Also post a photo of the recoil area of the stock.

Lay the action upside down on a bench. Place stock on the action. Are action screw holes lined up?

if so, apply the bottom metal and action screws. Tighten to finger tight or about 5 in lbs.

Turn it over. Is it in the right position?

Basically, Im trying to determine is it just shear barrel weight tipping it forward or some kind of misset bedding block?

Is it doing this when you lay your barreled action in the stock without the bottom metal, or with the bottom metal tightened up? If it only does it with the bottom metal assembly, try it without. Sometimes the M700 BDL 'magazine' insert can be a little tricky to get seated correctly. If it is not in the correct position, it can prevent your rifle from fitting into the stock inlet correctly.
Hope you figure it out

Sorry I've been crazy busy at work. It's doing the same thing without the bottom metal or action screws installed. Here's the photos of the bottom of the action.

H.S said if I want to send it back I can but if it's a problem with my barreled action, they'll send it back to me. I'll try to get it to a gunsmith before I send it back.

The stock looks like it might be a little out of alinement . Hard to tell by the photo for sure . The recoil lug looks close to being square with the action holes. Do you have another barreled action that you could try in the stock?

I have several long action Remington but this is my only short action,
