From everything I can tell it is a gen 1

Yes its G1,the mag box does'nt have the relief at the rear.
Will this fit a 300RUM?

I had no problem running a 284 case in it though you will only get 3 rounds in the mag a straight 06 comfortably seated 4 never used it for a RUM but would expect that it would be very similar to the 284. mk
