I have a used but in great condition howa 1500. It's 24 inch heavy barrel, threaded with protector. In a xlr chassis with folding adapter. Will come with bolt knob and base. Asking 1000 shipped from private party. Will trade +cash for sig 320, sign p365, g43, g43x, lightweight scope, remington 700 trigger, 700 hawkins hybrid rings.

I have not shot it, but it's a howa they have always shot for me. I do not know the twist. It's all factory, rifling and throat look like new. I took this in on trade, but I have since had a custom 260 built. Weight without scope is 9.14lbs

My current 6.5CM is a CZ 550 @7.05#, coupled w/Athlon Cronus @ 2.40#. With my incoming Witt 5/8x24" muzzle adapter/6.5mm Muzzle Rise Eliminator (barrel is too small to thread...safely...so says my gunsmith)...plus...a bipod/sling/cheek risor = +/10#...that's all the weight I want to carry.

I've never owned a Howa, a friend has one in 6.5CM and yet he'll pick up his 6.5CM Remington 700 before his Howa.

I should've put 2 and 2 together, if it's too heavy for my buddy (15 years younger) then what was I thinking?

It is not a lightweight set up by anymeans. Being able to fold the chassis helps make up for weight, when packing.

Also I will sell just the chassis. 500 shipped, xlr with folding adapter.

I was the original owner of this and bought it new. I can vouch that it is new and unfired unless done so at the factory. GLWS
