How to type ° while posting temperatures

How many of you will actually remember this process? I just Google "degree symbol" then copy and paste the symbol. Google is your friend.

Me too; ignored it for years before waking up and finding out the answer was right in front of me. It's hell to get old!

Search "ASCII" symbols to find all of them. Most forms of the number code omit the leading zero.

That's funny but I know why you guys get golf tee times by 0530; your irons are too hot to touch by 1100!

If you are using a regular keyboard while holding the alt key, type 248

This only works if you have a standard keyboard that has a number pad. Some wireless keyboards do not have a keypad and you will have to resort to using the character map and then copying and pasting the symbol you want.
