I have a 1903 Springfield with an epoxy issue.
Rifle has been fully refurbished and reparkerized. A Lyman 48 rear peep sight had been installed at one time. I would like to take it off and fill the holes with plug screws.
Upon removing the rear sight, I found what I believe to be 2 epoxy 'pads' stuck onto the side of the rear receiver ring.
I am wondering how I can remove this epoxy and not hurt the finish?
Any ideas?
