This worries me a little bit. When my kestrel gets updated with the new tip, will my BCs for the Hornady bullets be off? I bought a lot of them for a couple of rifles so I wouldn't run out. Are there going to be an ELD-X/M flat tip and round tip options?
Berger had it right the whole time? Maybe I have plenty of the 195 EOLs that I've pushed to the side because the tips are different and more pointed than the others. The longer and more deformed the tip is the less chance I have of fitting it in my magazine. I've been looking at getting some bullets with the MRT (Meplat Reduction Technology) for some of my rifles because I've noticed that a lot of the Berger tips are different from bullet to bullet, even out of the same box.
I'll also say this; I avoided using Hornady bullets for a long time. I was always a Nosler guy. With the way they've raised their prices compared to other companies, I can no longer support Nosler. I still have a lot of their bullets and will continue to shoot them but, I won't be buying anymore. Anything that I get anymore is either in a red or yellow box, It sorta just depends on the cartridge and the bullet that I want to use, along with availability.

Look most people have different opinion's on what they like but if biden gets his way he's already put into play the first step behind closed doors to make all lead bullets unlawful to use and wont's to ban them due to epa lead contamination rules so quit arguing and support the people who fight for our rights and the second amendment this white house don't wont you to have guns so there going after the bullets so the cost for none lead bullets will go even higher this will put a strain on bullet manufactures of bullets so they close there doors if they can't take your guns they will remove the bullets Biden and his party wants to rule over the people a one world order get it. If you read your bible more you would know what's coming.
I bet now there will be a new video how you can load for extreme accuracy but only with their product

Yep, the leftest have been working toward this for many years. We as a nation have finally gotten to the point at which this is close to obtainable.
Between the vast majority of people now living in cities and the indoctrination of school students into socialism over the past 50 + years……the vast majority of today's youth have no actual knowledge of the history of America nor do they the basic concepts of self reliance! memtb

Lots of Hunters are using, ELD-X's on, Big Game and M's are also, Awesome for, LR Big Game & for shooting, LR Steel / Target,.. accuracy !
I shoot, 50 Gr. V-Maxes, in my 14 Twist, .22-250 Rem BECAUSE they are,.. VERY Accurate, BLOW Sage Rats Up and,. ARE, Reasonably priced.
I Load 130 gr. ELD-M's, in my 6.5 Creedmoor at over, 2,800 FPS WITH,.. SUB 1/2 MOA Accuracy AND,..
Hornady Bullets,. ARE,.. Quite Reasonably Priced !
I like,.. Berger's, Sierra's and Hornady Bullets,.. each, DEPENDING ON,. "Application" and Accuracy in, a particular Rifle.

No I don't. That certainly wouldn't be my goal as a buisness owner, and them innovating is certainly proof that they are growing.
Hornady has found their market. It's the average guy that makes an average wage that wants a product at an affordable price point that works. If their products didn't work, they'd be out of buisness. Same goes for anything we buy.

I'm all for supporting Hornady and appreciate their efforts to help folks enjoy shooting. I just wasn't real happy about how much traction they got with their reloading podcasts when it contradicted what I have learned through the years. While I admit we should all be open and enjoy the arguments, I felt sorry for the folks who got sucked into their findings as gospel. I read an article where a guy who believed in their findings was getting ready for the nightforce elr challenge and ended up shooting an incredible amount before he found an acceptable load and if he would have just did proper ladders he would have been done much quicker and probably better resultsI bet now there will be a new video how you can load for extreme accuracy but only with their product
