I have some of these bullets, I had the idea to use them for fireforming new 338LM brass.
But how would they be for longer range for elk?
Rifle is 10-twist, 31 inch barrel. MV probably >3200 ft/s

I tried several 200g and 215g bullets in both my Edge and 338-416 Rigby Improved. The only 2 I had satisfactory results with were 200g Accubonds and 200g Speer Hot Cor, even 210g Partitions didn't like the velocity. I have no info for you on Hornady bullets, I don't like them, but feel the 200g is a bit light for the velocity obtainable. I wouldn't hesitate using them on something smaller than elk though.

Cheers.

Have taken Elk with bullets from 160-165 gr 7mm 280 Rem all the way to 210 gr/ 225 gr 338cal in both the Win Mag and the 338 LM and each has done its job. Nosler bullets Partition-AccuBond. Speed is NOT everthing. My 300 WBY and 30-378 Wby also do a heck of a job. All with NOSLER'S. Good luck and shot straight.
