Hornaday A max

What do you think of the Hornaday A max for hunting?? namely for deer and elk 208 grain in a 300 RUM.

I can tell you for sure that the 140 gr 6.5mm and the 162 gr 7mm will knock whitetails right out of their hoof prints. Between 50 and 400 yards I have not had to track one yet. I would imagine the 208 out of a RUM would do even better. Can't help you with elk, haven't been that lucky yet.

As Chris said I think they are great for deer but I would not be comfortable with using them on elk.
