Hope For This Year?

I'm diving into reloading and have been able to get everything I need to get started except powder and primers. I fired several boxes of 7mm STW, 6.5 CM, 308 and 30 06 so I've got the brass.

Anyone anticipate the primers and powders to become available this year? I want to start developing loads before this fall.

I wouldn't get my hopes up. I recommend you stop shooting your current supply of factory ammo. Sorry, I'm sure that's not what you wanted to hear. Hopefully I'm wrong.

Study your books and figure out a list of what you need to get started for a powder and primers because when you find something you will need to make a fast decision or it will be gone

It's going to be hit or miss, mostly miss for a while. But keep looking, maybe someone local can get you some stuff to get started with.

I have enough stuff. My hope is to get a carbon barrel with a ti brake, carbon stock, ti action, and a March scope in Talley rings.

not laughing at you for wanting to get into this , but right now would be a horrible time to try and dive into the rabbit hole . It's gonna be tough finding powder and even harder finding primers . From what I've seen . I believe primers right now are like Sasquatch, you've heard of people seeing them maybe even seen some evidence of them yourself , but in all reality you've not seen it yet with your own eyes !

You can do it but you have to be relentless in looking for powder and primers, almost to the point of obsessive.
Primers being the hardest to locate in my area. Powder is a little easier.

Some kind and generous people on here would probably help you out.

Powder and primers are hard to help with unless you're local because we can't ship it without special licensing. Someone local would probably sell or trade with you for a few things you need.

local, online classifieds, seem to be good around here (Boise, ID) to get stuff you really need but it'll cost 2-4x retail. Not always, but not many good deals. prices around here just keep climbing every month. Month after month. Very curious what it looks like when spring/summer gets here and people start wanting to get out and shoot.

I think its going to last a little while unfortunately. Powder is easier to find than powder atleast in my location (WV) Keep hitting the local spots eventually you'll score some. If that doesn't work you could always try bartering.

Be vigilant, keep checking your local mom and pop gun shops as that seems to be the place that primers have been popping up. I've had good luck with powder, not so much on primers. They are basically unobtainium at the moment.

Don't be discouraged though, if you are patient and diligent you'll eventually find what you need. It may take a little while, but it's out there.

I don't know where your at in TN, but if you ever make trips around WV I can help you out with enough stuff to get you started. I make trips out to Indiana about once or twice a month too.

General RE LEE, shoot me a PM sometime if you want. May be able to figure out a way to meet up sometime? I don't have tons of stuff but I have enough to help someone out trying to get started anyway.

Figure out what you need brother and I will be on the look out. Seems like my local shop is getting delivery every week or two. They don't get everything every week. I make a request for small rifle mag primers and it took a month but I got 500 of them for another friend. They are not pricing anything out the roof and are dividing up so everyone can get what they need

Thank you everyone! I'm in the Nashville, TN area. Just got my kit. Not pictured is a tumbler and RCBS shell trimmer I also picked up. I've got dies on the way.
