Last time I posted mounting my Aoudad from a drawing hunt in the Devil's River area.
Doing this deer for a buddy. He **** this deer several years ago, but recently shot a big body deer that had messed up horns.
Turned out the deer had been hit by a vehicle, most likely while in velvet. Which created it's own challenges because of damage to the hide.
Most of the scares had healed but the bruises to the skin were still evident.
Skin was very hard to stretch so I had "card" areas I don't normally have too.
Looks pretty good...better than some commercial guys...
