omega1, I live a little over 120 miles SE of Amarillo and up till this summer we were overrun with hogs. Several of us got together this summer when almost all the water dried up in the ponds and got the State to bring its helicopter in and hunt around the remaining water holes. It set our hog population back at least a year. Where I in years past shoot 40 or more every month this fall I have seen one hog and did not get a shot. My neighbor has a house he puts up hunters in and is reasonable enough. All our hogs are nocturnal now so it makes hunting a lot tougher.
