I sent an email or tried to send him one at gunwerks and it said that it was his last day.

Where is he going or is he starting something new?

Unless I misconstrued, he's still with Gunwerks ...

Aaron Davidson founded Gunwerks, LLC. in January 2006. His education and background in Engineering and a passion for firearms and our American tradition of hunting gives him a unique insight into product design. His vision for a simple but comprehensive long range shooting system led to the development of a revolutionary concept for Bullet Drop Compensating turrets that utilize wind compensation technology in addition to drop compensation.

It was a perfect concept that gives a shooter a complete ballistic solution with one simple adjustment. By August 2006, he had a provisional patent application filed, and he laid the foundation for what would later become Huskemaw optics by developing a prototype scope system to work in conjunction with the Gunwerks long range ballistic technology.

The next step was to develop a process that would enable the most basic shooter to get a truly custom calibrated Drop Compensator by following a simple process that was backed with the industry's most sophisticated turret building software system. It was a success.

Along the way, he was able to bring the exactness required for long range shooting back to the television program "The Best of the West" with informative shooting tips, and some of the most spectacular long range shots ever filmed for television broadcast. His brother Mike Davidson joined the team full time in 2009. Mikes' passion for trophy big game hunting helped develop the hunting/filming program and schedule. Mike also manages sales and production in the Gunwerks manufacturing and development facility.

In February 2010, Aaron left his ownership position with The Best of the West and Huskemaw Optics, to focus his core long range shooting technologies in Gunwerks and GSeven. Now Mike and Aaron as owners of Gunwerks and GSeven are introducing a new standard for long range performance—built for the first shot! With an impressive lineup of game changing products, GSeven is ready to become the leading provider of Long Range Shooting Technology for hunters. Gunwerks has already introduced several new and exciting LR models from Carbon barrels to muzzle loaders. In addition, the Long Range Pursuit TV series will show you Mike and Aaron's passion for long range shooting products, techniques, and hardcore hunting.

With a history so exciting, imagine what the future will bring!
