Here comes the JUGGERNAUGHT in a 338AM repeater

Hey guys just wanted share my homemade action with you. For the last year or so I have been kicking around the idea of machining my own action from scratch. So as I could find some free time at the shop or I could sneak some time in I created my Juggernaught.

Here some are quick specs
416SS reciver, 4140 bolt EDM bore and lug race way
one piece bolt (well handle screws in) so it kind of has a rear lug
built in recoil lug
the top of the action has a ridge that will add stiffness .

I am pretty happy overall with everything, there are a few things I would change if I were to do another, all cosmetic.

I will be shipping it out to Kirby this week, to have him build me 338 Allen Mag. It should be a monster!!!!!

I admit after seeing the ''home made'' warning flag I was scepticle. But after seeing that.......WOW! Im impressed! Nice job. Looks mean already,and doesnt even have a bbl yet. Hope it shoots as good as it looks. Good luck, and Nice work!

the bolt release looks low on the side of the receiver. can you post a pic of the left side with the receiver in the stock?
you must be pretty talented to make your on action, congrats.

Trueblue, the bolt stop is low I didnt leave enough materail on the tang area to postion it in the center of the bore axis. As it is positioned now the top of the bolt stop is on the center line, it is completly engaging the lug. I did have to modify the stock for clearance. This is the only pic I have of the side. Its already packed up ready to ship. I dosent look that good or bad maybe Kirby can work some magic on the stock and touch the area up.

I was thinking that 500m would be the max effective scare range, LOL.

I would guees that even a good wiff from the big 338 AM would pull off enough hair to make the game die from hypothermia.

Glad that you guys like it. I cant wait to get it back from Kirby and see what it will do.
