Help with Nikon scope model.

I recently purchased a Remington 700 .300 RUM and it had a Nikon scope on it. I'm trying to get some info around so I can sell it. Can anyone tell me what model it is and what it might be worth? Its black matte finish, 4-12 40mm with an adjustable objective out on the scope bell. There is no writing on it other than Nikon, the power and there appears to be a serial number under the turrets. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It sounds like a PRE Monarch,I would say $200-$250 great scope.
