Recently bought a Browning 1885 Traditional Hunter 45-70. Want to keep traditional, purchased a Browning 1885 bpcr vernier rear sight. But no front sight. The AMT bpcr front globe sight is not made anymore and have not been able to find an used one. Trying to decide what to use? The bpcr front sight card is complete and they measure 12 mm , same as Lyman 17. Also have not been able to figure out the height of original bpcr front sight? Thinking about using a Skinner ladder sight in the middle.
