I've had this recurring dream for several years now. It's very "Journey to the Center of the Earth", before I even knew what the book was. I have a hole that I need to fill in.
A group of people find a pond at the the side of a mountain with a mineshaft next to it. The pond green and mossy, and goes under the rock wall. They jump in and travel to the other side of the wall. The next little bit is never there, and the next thing I dream is that they are being chased out of the mineshaft by a T-REX.
The first few times I had the dream I just drowned the T_REX in the pond, but that doesn't work anymore.
So, somehow we go from running around near the mountain to the city, and they are near a mall. The main character is a jumper, the kind that jumps from one building to another, off of stuff. He is chased by the T-REX, and jumps through a Burger King, and onto a yellow with black hood modified Neon, the first gen, not the newer ones. Noel Gugilemi is driving the car. The Latino asks the guy what he's doing on his car, and the jumper guy points behind him at the T-REX chasing them down. They speed away towards the city.
This is where it stops. Since I can kinda change the dream as it happens, I was thinking about having another one of the people who jumped into the water being the survivalist guy, and having him run into the mall. Now, what does he do? I was thinking he runs to a sporting goods store and grabs a used rifle and a box of ammo. Sets up on the roof of the mall. The T-REX is running down a narrow straight street, and he can see his misses, and he gets the last bullet into the back of the T-REX head.
How does this sound, and what does he use?
