A man and his wife lived pretty far out in the country along hwy 49.
While they were laying in bed one night almost asleep around 12:15am they heard a knock on the door.
Since they lived so far out and who knows who travelled along the hwy at night the man got up, stuffed his trusty .45 in his whitey-titeys and moved cautiously toward the front door.
Upon opening the door, there stood a pretty normal looking guy as if this was broad daylight.
The guy asked "what do you need?"
The stranger replied: "I know it's late, but can you give me a push?"
The guy unsimpathetic, slammed the door in his face and returned to bed.
While he pulled up the covers his wife asked, "what was it?"
"Just some guy who wanted a push!" He replied.
"Hmmm" said his wife, " if you were stranded at almost 1 o'clock in the morning wouldn't you want someone to help you?"
"I guess", he said feeling guilty, "Oh, alright!"
He flipped the covers down and made his way back to the front door.
Upon flinging open the front door he yelled: "Okay! I'll help you, where the heck are you!"
From the side of the house in the darkness the stranger replied, "over here on the swing."
