Hello from the Colorado rocky mountains

I found this site researching a rifle that a younger friend is looking at for his first elk camp this year. I am taking him on his first hunting trip and he is looking to get a good gun for high mountain hunting. I own several guns set up for long range hunting, as we hunt in November at about 9,000'. I enjoy target shooting with my wife who has her own guns, and introducing new people to the shooting sports and small and big game hunting. My dream hunt will be to draw a bull elk tag for dinosaur national park unit for a chance at a trophy class bull.
