Welcome to the forum. Used to engage in bird watching when we lived in the Sierra foothills but now that we're in the valley the bird population is less abundant and I can't travel very far any more. But I can still hit a prone position and get back up (with a little help 
) or lean on a shooting bench so most of my time is spent getting that tactical rifle to put 'em in one hole. That's a bench shooter's goal applied to tactical competition so, even though it's probably impossible, it's an objective I can focus on for the rest of my years.
